- The 4 C’s: Color grade, clarity grade, cut grade (or make), and carat weight are just the basic ingredients of determining value for us
- Certification: Some diamonds and gemstones have certificates and or lab reports. Some of the lab reports are more reliable than others so knowing if your stone has a certificate can be helpful in determining a value. Rest assured if your stone does not have a certificate have Graduate Gemologists on staff at all times to determine the exact grade of your stones. If your stone has a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) report often times we are able to give an estimated without even seeing the stone! (not always the case but we will do our best)
- Condition: What condition is your piece, or center stone in? No matter the condition we will purchase it!
- Purchase Place: Was your engagement ring purchased from a major brand like Tiffany and Company, Cartier, Graff, VCA etc? or a local jeweler? This will certainly effect the value of a ring. Two stones of identical grade can be vastly different prices. We are serious buyers of designer engagement rings of every age and condition.
- Market conditions: Some diamond shapes are more fashionable than others and because of this we often pay premiums to purchase certain shapes.
