Engraving

Leave your mark.

You picked the perfect piece now you want to make it even more special?  Engraving is a great way to personalize your purchase.  We offer a variety of different kinds, types, and options in engraving.

Types of engraving

Laser Engraving: As the name suggests, a laser is involved with this style of engraving.  In reality, a laser technically burns your message or design on to the designated surface of your piece.  Laser engraving, or marking as it technically is, can be done on any metal.  Just about any image, font and design can be done using our laser engraver.

Hand Engraving:  Hand engraving, is done BY HAND by one of our many skilled artisans.  This type of engraving takes a mastery of art, skill, and design, as well as the patience and precision of masters in our industry.  Our master engravers have carved some of the finest timepieces, awards, jewelry, and other object d' art that the world has ever seen.  Patterns produced can be defined by you or you can allow our artists to freehand using their master skills to create something totally unique.  Of coarse, you can choose to pick the top of engraving such as; floral motif, scrolling, scenery etc.

Machine Setup:  This type of engraving uses a diamond tipped instrument that is aligned on either a digital machine or one of our machines operated by hand.  This type is best used for initials, dates, symbols etc it ensures precision accuracy and simplicity in clean sharp designs.

Will the engraving wear off?
The durability of an engraving done on the outside of a piece often times depends on the durability of the metal itself, the wear, and the environment of the piece being worn.  Engravings on the inside of a ring, for example, will last much longer because it is protected from other surfaces.  We produce the best quality engraving to last on each piece we do.
Where should my engraving be on my ring?
Usually, most engravings are done on the inside of the ring.  This way others can't see your special message unless you take the ring off. This generally works best for machine setup engraving.  However, some people want the world to see their engraving. In this case, they choose to have their engraving done on the outside of the ring. When they are wearing their ring, others can see their engraving message, pattern, or design. These designs are generally done by hand engraving or laser engraving, though sometimes are machine engraved.

What's the Cost for Engraving?

Pricing depends on exactly what you are looking for, as some engravings are complimentary and some can be extreme amounts of hand labor.   Most simple engravings (initials of two and a date) are $60 or less. For more complicated designs, hand engraving, and laser engraving, pricing is quoted per piece to give an accurate estimate.

What can you engrave?
We can engrave just about any hard surface. We can engrave any picture, pattern, fingerprint, design, handwriting, you name it!
