We believe in recycled. Recycling jewelry is our top priority here at Velvet Box Society. We take this very seriously as it is the absolute core of our business. Firstly we purchase, reuse, and recycle antique and vintage jewelry. The antique and vintage items are put to good use. Even damaged, broken, and missing pieces are either reused or recycled. For crafting all of our custom pieces we use recycled metals. Our material is assayed and refined to pure gold then re-alloyed to shot for clean, porosity free casting using recycled metals for perfect crafted pieces.
In addition to our commitment to recycled jewelry and metals we also focus on recycled stones. We take pride in purchasing jewelry where diamonds and gemstones can be reused and recycled into new jewelry where possible. In doing so often times these stones need recut and polishing in which we employ 100% American craftsmanship to rework and make the stones beautiful again. Gemstone and diamond sustainability does not end with our recycled goods. We take pride in having a working relationships with miners, and cutters all over the world. This relationship employs entire communities who make their living sourcing some of the earths most rare and valuable gemstones and diamonds. These stones are hand selected by our team and must represent fair trade and fair market mining with earth sustainability.
Our commitment to American manufacturing has helped support American jobs and American workers through a variety of jobs from casting to setting and finish work. That does not stop with our jewelry our website is 100% created, finished, and maintained by American workers.
