Viren Bhagat
Viren Bhagat was born into a family that’s been in the jewelry business for over a century. At 11 years old he would observe his father and uncles interaction with gemstone dealers, spending hours watching setters and polishers his family’s store Bhagat Brothers. In the late 1980's while on vacation in Rome Viren visited the Bulgari store in Rome and was stunned by the pieces created. When her returned Mumbai he decided to mail his drawings to Gianni Bulgari. Six months after sending the drawling over he got a letter back inviting him to Europe. The story goes that Viren went to meet Gianni and they could not come to an agreement to work together as it seemed Viren wanted to work with Bulgari then return to India a plan that Bulgari didn't approve of. In 1991 Viren Bhagat opened the store with his brothers in Kemps Corner. Here himself and his brothers built the business. Bharat was primarily focused on gemstones and took control of the company. Rajan took over the work with customers. Since its founding Virens sons Varun and Jay, also joined the business.
