Tutima
Tutima Uhrenfabrik GmbH Ndl. Glashütte was established in 1927 in Glashutte,Germany. The brand grew and began producing analog chronographs as well as pilot watches. By 1945 after the second world war Tutima relocated to west germany to continue the watch making tradition and in 1959 renamed the ébauche factory to its original name: UROFA. At this time the company produced nearly 70,000 base models and to continue distribution Tutima Uhren was founded. Dieter Delecate who worked at the company continued the brand after taking over the distribution chain. He began by manufacturing watches with the Tutima name on the dial. Tutima was registered in California in April of 1970. Then in 2005 Delecate reimagined the brand going back to Glashutte to explore moving the brand back to its roots which he did and in 2011 Tutima reopened the brand celebrating its homage.
