In 1920 Salvador Tous Blavi and his wife Teresa Ponsa Mas began operation of a watch repair workshop. The business did well expanding into jewelry and gained higher end clientele. In 1965 Salvador Tous (son of Salvador) was running the business and married Rosa Oriol. Together they focused the company on jewelry design and creating newer designs. The business did well and they expanded into other accessories such as bags, watches, perfumes, eyeglasses, small leather goods and even textiles. During the 1980's Rose, Alba, Laura, and Marta the third generation took control of the company and began a national and international expansion by began focusing on manufacturing as opposed to retailing. This allowed them to build a sales base of more than 400 stores in 45 countries.
