René Kern
René Kern opened his first shop in 1950 on Königsallee in Düsseldorf, Germany. The company grew and the reputation for Rene's work became extremely well known. However by 1979 Rene's health began to fail and he elected to sell the company to British court jeweler Mappin and Webb. Mappin and Webb acquired the inventory and practices enhancing their own business until the brand was sold ins 2007 to Bucherer Deutschland GmbH.
