Paulding Farnham
In 1885, at the age of 26, G. Paulding Farnham joined Tiffany’ and Companies design department. Studying under Edward Moore, Farnham was tasked with helping Moore in designing the jewelry for Paris’s international exposition in 1889 which Tiffany came way with great regards.
In 1900, Farnham helped to repeat the work and Tiffany and Company won the Grand Prize for its jewelry at the Paris Exhibition. Farnham used gemologist George Frederick Kunz's stones to wow at the exhibition who provided him with conch pearls, pink topaz, demantoid garnet, Mexican fire opals, Montana sapphires, and Arizona turquoise. In 1902 Louis Comfort Tiffany officially assumed the role of the company’s design director following the death of his father and Franham was removed from his roll. In 1908, Farnham resigned from Tiffany & Co. because of creative disputes with Louis.
