Mcteigue & Co.
McTeigue and Co started as specialty jewelry manufacturers. Walter P. McTeigue is the fourth-generation diamond and colored stone dealer whose family has supplied Tiffany & Co, JE Caldwell, CD Peacock, and others with diamonds and gemstones since 1895. The business grew since 1895 and became an important supplier of stones on the manufacturing side to other jewelers. The business passed through four generations expanding with each from loose stones to manufacturing before the business was purchased by Tiffany and Company in 1990. Around eight years later in 1998 Walter decided to refocus his efforts back in the jewelry business after meeting Tim McClelland a classically trained jeweler. Their friendship grew into a partnership and the new shop was opened named Mcteigue and McClelland. The firm grew and focused on specialty manufacturing earning contract to display their works in other major retailers.
