MB&F Maximilian Büsser and Friends
Maximilian Büsser formed MB&F in 2005. Busser had worked for some time at Jaeger-LeCoultre and decided to lauch his three-dimensional four-barrel Horological Machine No. 1 in 2007, partnering with Peter Speake-Marin, Eric Giroud, and Laurent Besse. The following year the Horological Machine No. 2 was developed by Jean-Marc Wiederrecht/Agenhor, Maximilien Di Blasi, and Patrick Lété. The brands pieces sold well and the the next year, the Horological Machine No. 3 was produced and designed with Eric Giroud and developed with Wiederrecht/Agenhor. Büsser's collaborative approach, bringing in outside watchmakers and naming his developers, became important in building the brand and pushing designs and manufacture to the new limits. By 2010 the brand decided to work with Boucheron to produce a diamond-set HM3 JwlryMachine which was the first of jewelry companies to work with MB & F. The company continued to open M.A.D. galleries around the world to display their works.
