Henri Dubret was born in France in 1872. Henri began his journey in the arts in sculpture and quickly moved into jewelry. Henri was a teacher to many other artists in France as well such as Jean Noverdy. Henri was greatly influences by Rene Lalique and yet had his own style of jewelry creation. Though whimsical many of his pieces focused on nature such as insects which seemed to grow his business. Much of his work exhibits pliqué a jour. His other designs were quite Art Nouveau in style and focused on design with accents of diamonds with bits of enamel spread throughout often teaching his ways to others. Henri passed in 1947.
