Henri Daussi
Henri Daussi Loots was born in 1932 in Antwerp, Belgium. He was taught the art of diamond cutting by his father Jozef Loots who learned from his father. After apprenticing with his father Henri went on to become a respected diamond cutter working on larger diamonds. Henri designed a new diamond polishing wheel, called a scaif, which allowed him to cut the first heart-shaped diamond. Henri passed on his knowledge to his sons Jef and Dirk Loots who continued to grow the business. Years later Henri's grandsons Bart, Jeff, and Kristiaan Loots took control of the business.
