Giampaolo Babetto
Giampaolo Babetto was born in 1947 in Padua, Italy. By the 1960's he had begun to make a name for himself as a jeweler crafting avant-garde pieces. In doing so he helped start the Padua School which molded the youth into considering jewelry as art. His jewelry defined the modernist and brutalist era receiving awards along the way. He event worked in mixed medias such as plastic, glass, as well as enamel, and silver though his preferred media was gold.
