Tungsten
Tungsten is the hardest, most scratch resistant material available in jewelry. Tungsten comes naturally in a dark gun metal gray which is the same way we craft rings. Our rings are alloyed with a nickel base for a high polish finish. Many people often search for a tungsten ring and end up purchasing multiples as they purchase from overseas. One of the precautions with tungsten is the limitations in removing a band when it is stuck on. Ask us for more information.
Carbon Fiber
Carbon Fiber rings are remarkably light weight. The super light weight feel is preferred by some and they are actually quite durable. Many people sell carbon fiber rings however durability is important and our rings are made with a particularly tight weave to support heavy weights. We also offer carbon fiber inlays in addition to our solid carbon fiber rings.
Ceramic
Ceramic rings are popular because their colors and shine last. Many people enjoy ceramic's ability to be scratch-resistant (in fact as scratch resistant as tungsten carbide) along with the fact that ceramic is very light weight. Ceramic is also non-metallic which is great for those who have allergies, work in a field where metallic bands are problematic, and our military servicemen and women. Certain styles are difficult to make as ceramic is very hard. One of the precautions with Ceramic is the limitations in removing a band when it is stuck on. Ask us for more information.
Cobalt
Cobalt rings will not chip or crack and have a platinum like color which many enjoy. The ability of the metal to not crack or chip makes it possible to customize cobalt rings with or without stones as well. Cobalt rings are also slightly sizable (up to a maximum of a half size on certain models. Many enjoy the facts that Cobalt is light-weight and hypoallergenic. Cobalt bands can also be removed, if necessary, by most jewelers.
Damascus Steel
Damascus Steel is a combination of different grades of steel which are bonded together. The steel is then acid treated to create a unique pattern. Many enjoy the pattern and since the pattern continues all the way through the ring wearing it and destroying a pattern is not a concern. Damascus Steel is a lot less hard then some of the other alternative metals and can be removed by most jewelers if needed.
Mokume Gane
Mokume Gane is a historically Japanese metalworking procedure which produces a mixed-metal laminate with distinctive layered patterns, as well as that laminate itself. Mokume-gane translates closely to "wood grain metal" which is how the metal appears to look. Our rings are made using precious metals and can be used as a sleeve or as the ring itself.
Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel is a well known contemporary metals that has a beautiful shine and can easily be polished, or finished with other types of finishes. Of the alternative metals many people like the cost of these rings however stainless is most prone to scratch. Purchasing a stainless ring can also be concerning based on the type of stainless used however we use 316L, grade steel to ensure a quality final product.
Titanium
Titanium is known for its extremely light weight. Our rings are made from aircraft grade five titanium. This high grade of titanium is the most durable grade available. It has a dark gray color similar to tungsten. Titanium is hypoallergenic and biocompatible. Titanium is a great choice for someone who is looking for a light weight ring and something easy on the pocketbook. Titanium, though hard, is a great material for customization. Titanium can be cut off with diamond-tip ring cutter.
Zirconium
Zirconium is a natural element which begins with a silver color yet we process the metal after making the ring with heat to cause oxidation. This oxidation turns the metal black and strengthens the metal. We then can tool the ring to create a "two toned" look. This allows for the black coloration but with more flexibility than some of the harder alternative metals. Zirconium can also be removed by most jewelers if needed.
Please Note: of our alternative metals, most are not sizeable. Precious metal rings are generally wearable for a lifetime and alternative metals have many attractive qualities but many are not able to be sized.
