Andre Fernand Thesmar
Andre Fernand Thesmar was born in 1843 in France. By 1872 he opened up a studio in Neuilly to study and work with Cloisonné enamel as well as piqué a jour enamel. He first showed his skill in creating the piqué a jour enamel style in 1888 and just two years later he exhibited at the Exposition Universelle in Paris 1900. He began prior the the exhibition to try to inlay gold into the enamel work creating some smaller pieces but shifting focus quickly to porcelain. He moved onward to work with the Sevres company to develop a cloisonné method that was used on porcelain.
