A. Dragsted Jewelry
Arent Nicolai Dragsted was born in June of 1821 and became a goldsmith based in Copenahgen. His career began when he enrolled at the School of Drawing of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. There he studied under Herman Wilhelm Bissen and Gustav Friedrich Hetsch. After school he created his namesake in Bregade in 1854. He became know for his quality in craftsmanship particularly in chasing. His skill was noticed and he became the predicate Purveyor to the Court of Denmark when he created the golden horn presented to Bernhard Severin Ingemann. Later he created the golden wreath for Frederick VII's sarcophagus.
