Zoltan David
Zoltan David was born in 1955 in Hungary. He moved to Texas and opened his namesake in 1980 after receiving his apprenticeship from goldsmiths and diamond setters from Germany and Switzerland. His business grew and in 1988 was knighted by Hungary in honor of his father. He continued to grow his business and develop new techniques in jewelry one such he was awarded a patent in 2003 for, an inlay technique. This patent created three-dimensional raised patterns in precious metal, such as platinum inlaid with gold as well as other patents like convertible hoop earrings that can be dismantled to be worn in three different ways. His skills transferred across jewelry into guitars designing a guitar slide with Lance Keltner, leather goods designs and other areas.
