Sevan Bıçakçı
Sevan Bıçakçı was born in 1965 in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. By the age of 12 Sevan was apprenticing with Hovsep Catak in the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. After serving as an apprentice for 4 years Hovsep passed away and Sevan opened a workshop in order to serve larger manufacturers as a jewel designer. By 2002 he revealed his first collection and stuck to the roots of the Byzantine and Ottoman styles. The designs did well and the business grew becoming an international brand.
